Anne Skubis
Lead Educator for Spa and Marketing Team Lead - The Aveda Institute Tucson
Anne Skubis graduated in the Ambassador Esthiology Class at the Aveda Institute Tucson in October 2009 and hasn't left since! In addition to her Esthetician License, she holds a B.S. in Secondary Education from Indiana University. She is thrilled to have established her career with Aveda and has grown along side the blossoming Institute, branching out into Education and Marketing from her initial role in Retail. Anne’s commitment to the environment, her community, and personal wellness exemplify her passion for the Aveda Mission. She believes that a business can be equally profitable and responsible by upholding its mission and adapting its vision to reflect trends, like social media and grassroots marketing. Anne's favorite thing about teaching is seeing the personal growth that accompanies the learning process, especially in an educational environment that focuses on wellness. Beyond the walls of the Institute, she is currently obtaining a Yoga Teaching Certification which she hopes to incorporate into her roles at AIT."
Jed Beal
Owner, Jed's Barber Shop Salt Lake City, Utah
Jed worked for Aveda beginning in 2005, graduating from the Aveda Institute Denver in 2006. He excelled in public relations, marketing and opening school/salons. He is also a licensed cosmetologist with a specialty in barbering. He is a born entrepreneur, and opening this salon fulfills a life-long dream of owning his own business! His goal is to build the best possible salon and team, to never quit adapting, and to create a place where stylists can have fun at work. Says Jed, "With the help and support of the Aveda Institutes Provo, Tucson, and Denver I have been able to make my dreams come true."
